Chapter 38: The Triple Fork

　　Part 1: The Left Path　　We hadn't gone far following Little White's "markers" when we arrived at a triple fork in the path. Three dark tunnels stretched away into unknown spaces.　　"Little White!" I called out toward each tunnel in turn, but only hollow echoes answered. No feathers or droppings were in sight.　　"Where did that little thief go?"　　"Maybe we should split up and scout? Walk a hundred steps in each, then meet back. We'll go down the one with feathers?"　　"No! Absolutely not splitting up!" Young Master Feng vetoed my bad idea decisively. "If we get separated here, we're done for."　　"Agreed,"
