Chapter 13 No Other Choice
Several days later, in an unnamed cave, Sylphiel shivered as he fluffed his feathers, still wet from the rain. Four days ago, the Rebylou region had been hit by a massive storm lasting three days. On the fourth day, they noticed the once-dry cave ceilings starting to get damp. At first, Sylphiel and a few other harriers dared to go out and help build dams along the creeks. But half a morning later, none of the three wanted to step outside again. Recently, Charles had been particularly busy. He had to venture deep into the Double Creek stronghold to find a runoff channel, take charge of food for five people, and oversee dam construction.
