Somewhere out in the endless expanse of space, a starship streaked toward Earth at breakneck speed. Inside, red lights flickered urgently, blaring out a warning: "Warning! Warning! We'll enter Earth's atmosphere in roughly ten minutes."
In her cozy bunk, You Chang Miaozhi's eyes fluttered open, and she sat up, her gaze drifting out the window to the twinkling stars beyond. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she murmured, "Finally, we're upon Earth. The fabled Earth, said to be a backward, low-level civilization in the galaxy. Centuries ago, some cosmic wanderers visited and left behind the notion that it was a civilization of lesser standing. Soon, I'll witness it for myself."
Inside the vast expanse of the interstellar spaceship, red lights suddenly flared to life, casting an urgent warning across the room: "Warning! Warning! We'll be plunging into Earth's atmosphere in just eight minutes." Ji Yarong, nestled in her bed, bolted awake. She kicked off the covers, slipped into her jacket, hopped out of bed, and laced up her shoes with practiced ease.
On the adjacent bed, You Chang Miaozhi peered over at Ji Yarong, her voice tinged with urgency. "Honey, you need to wake up everyone still slumbering in the back," she called out. Ji Yarong flashed a reassuring smile and nodded. "Got it, I'll get them up."
Down in the tail section of the spaceship, a slumbering crowd lay sprawled across their beds. The quiet was shattered by the echo of approaching footsteps. Ji Yarong strode forward, her voice resonating through the room with a mix of excitement and authority. "Hey, everybody! Rise and shine! We're just minutes away from our new home on Earth, and it's time to embrace a fresh start."
In the sleeping quarters, Aoban Lian gazed up at the twinkling stars through the window, still groggy from her slumber. She blinked in astonishment and called out to her companions. "Whoa, I'm still half-asleep! Hey, guys, are you all awake too?"
The others shook their heads in unison, replying, "I still haven't woken up yet." Qing Ai Lifeng put on his jacket, slipped into his pants, got out of bed, and tied his shoes. Clapping his hands excitedly, he said, "We've got just a few minutes before we enter Earth's atmosphere. Before that, let's head to the back of the starship's cockpit and take in the breathtaking view of Earth from space."
You Changmiaozhi made his way to the rear of the cockpit and gazed down at the Earth below. A primary pilot was at the helm, steering the starship while keeping an eye on the planet beneath. Suddenly, red warning lights flashed inside the starship, accompanied by an alarm: "Warning! Warning! Approximately five minutes until atmospheric entry." Ji Yarong, Ao Banlian, and Ai Liqingfeng all hurried toward the starship's cockpit.
At the stern of the starship, the rest of the group also began making their way to the cockpit. Everyone gathered at the back of the cockpit, looking down at Earth. The starship's interior once again lit up with red warning lights: "Warning! Warning! Approximately three minutes until atmospheric entry."
A co-pilot shouted, "The red lights are flashing continuously, and the alarm won't stop. Someone hit the switch to turn it off!" Ao Banlian glanced around, searching for the alarm switch. You Changmiaozhi pointed ahead and said, "Ao Banlian, that's the button right there. Give it a press, and hurry up!" Ao Banlian pressed the button, and the red lights in the starship gradually dimmed.
At the back of the cockpit, a tall figure remarked, "That's the surface of Earth. All that green—those are forests and trees covering the land. The planet's ecosystem looks pretty healthy." The starship descended into Earth's atmosphere, slowing down as it encountered the friction of reentry.
As the captain expertly piloted the interstellar spaceship, his gaze fixed curiously on Iceland below, he mused aloud, "That glacial island, so sparsely populated, looks like the perfect spot for us to land, doesn't it?" From the depths of the spaceship's cockpit, a middle-aged man's voice echoed back, "I'm cool with it. What do the rest of y'all think?" Aoban Lian, practically bursting with urgency, blurted out, "We ain't got all day to pick a landing spot. Let's head straight for that Icelandic paradise!" With a swift maneuver, the captain turned the spaceship towards Iceland.
The interstellar craft descended gracefully, eventually coming to rest on a lonely patch of land in Iceland. Yawning widely, Aoban Lian shuffled towards the spaceship's sleeping quarters, groaning, "Man, I'm beat! I'm gonna hit the sack first." Qing Ai Lifeng and the rest of the crew stumbled after him, making their way to the tail section of the spaceship to catch some much-needed rest. Aoban Lian flopped onto his bed and drifted off into dreamland, while Qing Ai Lifeng and the others followed suit, finding cozy spots to catch some Zs.o ce is a total wilderness. Not a house in sight," he remarked. Behind him, a co-pilot stood at the doorway, filling his lungs with the crisp air and announcing, "We'll camp out in the spaceship tonight and start looking for a place to call home tomorrow. Everyone, get some rest."
Ji Yarong and You Chang Miaozhi walked towards the spaceship door, stepping outside together. You Chang Miaozhi scoped out the area and said, "Tomorrow, I'm gonna scope out some uninhabited houses." Ji Yarong grinned and replied, "Hey, we're running on empty when it comes to food and water. We need to find some supplies, stat!" After a good night's rest, the captain, co-pilot, You Chang Miaozhi, and Ji Yarong made their way back inside the spaceship.
As the Icelandic sky transformed into a canvas of twinkling stars, cheers and applause erupted outside the spaceship. Someone exclaimed excitedly, "No more floating around the galaxy aimlessly. Let's party and celebrate finding our new home. Tomorrow, we can finally start living our new lives!" Inside, You Chang Miaozhi lounged on the sofa, munching on corn and a hamburger, sipping from a cup of water, and griping, "I haven't had grilled fish in ages. Tomorrow, I'm diving into the sea to catch one."
At the dining table, Aoban Lian was noisily slurping his noodles, a common sight among the others who were doing the same. Over on the sofa, the main pilot was savoring every bite of his grilled veggie wrap with noodles, washing it down with some refreshing fruity water. His co-pilot counterpart, also nestled on the sofa, was munching on a similar wrap but paired with a soothing cup of tea. Ji yarong was feasting like a king, with grilled meats, veggies, and sausages laid out before him. Qing Ai Lifeng, perched comfortably on a chair, was digging into his salad and corn with relish.
Inside the starship, the lights were blazing brightly, casting a warm glow over everything. But as the lights began to dim, all the members made their way to the sleeping quarters, eager to catch some much-needed rest. Outside, the starship was surrounded by a veil of darkness, but as dawn approached, the dark clouds lifted and scattered, making way for the new day.
By early morning, the sun's rays gently kissed the land of Iceland, seeping through the windows of the starship and casting a warm glow over You Chang Miaozhi's face. He slowly opened his eyes, a quiet murmur escaping his lips, "A new day begins. I don't want to disturb anyone, so I'll go find a house first."
In the kitchen, the microwave buzzed to life after heating the pizza and corn for a few minutes. You Chang Miaozhi opened the microwave door, grabbed the steaming corn, and munched on it with relish. After finishing, he tossed the cob into the trash with a satisfied sigh. With a slice of pizza in hand, he walked towards the starship's door, finishing the last bite outside. And then, with a burst of energy, he bolted forward, leaping into the air and gliding smoothly over the barren landscape.
As he soared over volcanic lands and glaciers, he glimpsed a city to his left and instinctively veered towards it. Meanwhile, in front of the starship, all the members stepped out onto the barren ground, stretching their legs after a night's rest.
You Chang Miaozhi ambled towards Akureyri, his mind buzzing with thoughts. "Earthlings, they look just like us," he murmured to himself. "Legend has it that hundreds of years ago, our ancestors visited Earth. Now, Earth's civilization is far from primitive or backward."
Aoban lian, his curiosity piqued, asked, "Dr. You Chang, do you think he'll be back for lunch?" Ji yarong replied with a confident smile, "Lunch is grilled fish; my husband will definitely be back early. He never misses a meal with us."
Aoban Lian put on his binoculars and gazed into the distance. In the far right front, he spotted the ocean. Lowering the binoculars, he announced, "I'm going to catch some seafish in the ocean. I'll be back as soon as I can." The whole group watched as Aoban Lian soared towards the distant ocean.
He flew to the seashore and hovered above the water, his eyes fixed on the surface below. A big seafish swam by, and without hesitation, Aoban Lian dove into the sea and grabbed it. He then leaped out onto the land and gave the seafish a few good slaps, knocking it unconscious. Carrying the seafish in his arms, he flew low over the ground, heading back towards the starship. Finally, he landed in front of the group and dropped the seafish.
Meanwhile, You Chang Miaozhi was flying low over the ground, making his way towards the starship. He jumped down in front of the group, landing firmly on the earth.Aoban Lian was surprised and said, "You're just in time. I just caught a big one."
A big seafish was now on the grill, with a pile of burning wood underneath, roasting it to perfection. You Chang Miaozhi sighed, "I've been to many cities, but I haven't found any clean housing. Only abandoned houses are habitable."
The roasted seafish was then cut into dozens of plates of fish fillets, topped with vegetables and spices. Outside the starship, the group set up a few picnic tables, and everyone enjoyed the delicious grilled fish together.
